The UP-2003 is a dual-column, PC-controlled universal testing machine for tensile, compression, bend, peel and tear tests on metals, plastics, rubber and composites. Capacity options from 1 kN to 50 kN let you size the frame to the materials you actually test instead of over-specifying.
What separates it from a single-column touch-screen tester is the combination of a stiff dual-column gantry frame and an AC servo drive. The rigid frame keeps machine deflection out of your elongation and modulus results, while the servo drive enables closed-loop control and strain-rate-controlled testing to ISO 6892-1 Method A and GB/T 228.1. The detailed measurement performance, software functions and the full parameter list are set out under Key Features and Technical Specification below.
The UP-2003 frame is supplied empty of application-specific assumptions. Select the package that matches your material; each includes the grips, the preset test methods and the standards you need.

A: Two things: frame and drive. The UP-2003 uses a dual-column gantry frame that is much stiffer than a C-frame, so machine deflection does not contaminate elongation and modulus results. It is driven by an AC servo motor rather than a stepper, which enables closed-loop control on force, displacement, strain, load or time. Choose the UP-2003 for capacities above 5 kN, for metals, or where you need strain-rate-controlled methods and PC-based data archiving.
A: Match the capacity to the maximum force you expect, keeping normal tests inside roughly 20–80% of full scale. Plastics and rubber usually run on 5 kN or 10 kN; sheet and plate metals need 20 kN or 50 kN. Tell us your materials and specimen sizes and we will size the load cell.
A: Yes, and this is where the standard large-deformation extensometer matters. It covers 10–1000 mm at 0.008 mm resolution, so it tracks a rubber specimen through several hundred percent elongation instead of running out of travel.
A: The servo drive and closed-loop strain control make Method A possible. Note that the speed range starts at 1 mm/min; for the lowest strain rates required by some specimen geometries you may need a longer gauge length. Confirm your specimen and method with us and we will verify the configuration before you order.
A: Yes. All five test types run on the same frame. You change the fixture and select the method in the software — this is the main practical advantage of a dual-column universal tester over a dedicated single-purpose machine.
A: The machine is supplied with the testing software and can be delivered with an industrial PC, or you may supply your own. Please confirm your preference when ordering.
A: Simplified Chinese and English. The language is switchable in the software.
A: The system stops automatically when the force reaches 110% of your set value, and provides over-current protection, over-voltage protection, upper and lower travel limits and an emergency stop.
