Product Overview

The tracking tester applies a specific voltage between platinum electrodes (2mm×5mm) on the surface of solid insulating materials and drips a specified volume of contaminated liquid (0.1% NH₄CL) from a fixed height (35mm) at fixed intervals (30s). This evaluates the tolerance of solid insulating materials under combined electric field and contaminated medium conditions, determining comparative tracking index (CTI) and tracking resistance index (PTI).

Applications

Test Principle

Evaluates the leakage resistance of solid insulating materials under combined electric field and moisture/contaminated medium conditions by applying voltage between platinum electrodes and dripping conductive liquid of specified volume, determining comparative tracking index and tracking resistance index.

This tracking index tester meets simulation test requirements specified in IEC60112:2003 "Determination of tracking index and comparative tracking index of solid insulating materials", UL746A, ASTM D 3638-92, DIN53480, GB4207 and other international standards.
