The UV Anti-Yellowing Aging Test Chamber — also known as a bulb-type UV discoloration tester or yellowing resistance tester — determines how well white and light-colored materials resist yellowing under simulated sunlight and heat.
A 300 W UV bulb irradiates specimens placed on a slowly rotating φ300 mm turntable, while a forced hot-air circulation system holds the chamber at a set temperature up to 80 °C. After the programmed exposure period, the exposed specimen is compared with an unexposed control (or a standard grey scale) to grade the degree of discoloration.
Typical test materials include shoe soles, leather, PU, rubber, fabrics and other light-colored polymer or coated substrates.
The φ300 mm perforated stainless-steel sample disc rotates at 3 ± 1 rpm so that every specimen receives the same UV dose, removing the "hot spot" bias of static sample placement.
A top-mounted 300 W UV lamp with reflector works together with forced hot-air circulation and perforated SUS304 inner walls, giving even temperature distribution across the 50 × 50 × 60 cm working volume.
Mirror-polished SUS304 stainless-steel interior resists corrosion and wipes clean easily; glass-fiber insulation limits heat loss; the baked-enamel steel exterior keeps the cabinet looking new. The unit is fitted with a front observation window, a side control cluster (temperature controller, LED timer, indicators, ammeter and main switch) and heavy-duty caster wheels for easy repositioning.
An EGO over-temperature protection device cuts power to the heating circuit and triggers an indicator if the set limit is exceeded, while a safety overload switch with ammeter protects the electrical circuit during long unattended runs.
Light intensity is adjustable, and the 0–9,999 h LED timer supports both short QC screening cycles and extended aging programs.

Note: These methods are commonly referenced for evaluating UV/heat-induced discoloration of white or light-colored surfaces. Please state the exact standard and revision required by your laboratory when requesting a quotation so the configuration can be matched accordingly.
A: Any white or light-colored material where yellowing is a concern — shoe soles, leather, PU/PVC, rubber, fabrics, coated plastics, adhesives and light-colored finished parts.
A: No. This is a bulb-type chamber configured for rapid UV + heat discoloration (yellowing) screening. It is not equipped with humidity, condensation or water-spray functions; for gloss loss, cracking or moisture-weathering studies, a full weathering chamber is required.
A: The UV300W bulb has a rated working life of 1,000 hours. We recommend logging operating hours and replacing it at that interval.
A: Yes. Light intensity is adjustable so exposure conditions can be matched to different internal or standard test protocols. Specify your required setting when enquiring.
A: Single-phase AC 220 V, 15 A. Please confirm your local supply when placing the order.
A: Yes — contact us with your test standard, sample size, required irradiance and power supply, and we will confirm the configuration, spare UV bulb kit, packaging and delivery schedule.
