Product Overview

The UP-4021 Water Absorption Tester is professional footwear laboratory test equipment for evaluating water-absorbing and water-desorption performance of shoe insole materials.

It simulates real-life walking conditions: test specimens are mounted on a damp base plate and undergo repeated flexing under defined pressure. After preset test cycles or test duration, users calculate water absorption (WA) and water desorption (WD) values to assess material performance.

This tester complies with GB/T20991-2007 Clause 7.2 for footwear safety-testing laboratories and footwear material quality-control workshops.

Main Technical Specifications

Core Features:

• Two Working Modes: Counting Mode for setting target test cycles; Timer Mode for setting running duration (up to 999 hours 59 minutes). Real-time display for running time, cumulative cycles and test speed.
• Independent Water Supply System: Upper water tank with water-pump feeding; adjustable flow-meter controls water output during flexing test.
• Precise Specimen Fixture: Stationary fixture and movable fixture on brass drum to fasten insole samples for stable repeated flexing movement.
• Jog Function: Inching jog operation for convenient sample installation and equipment maintenance; home-return function resets mechanism position.
• Automatic Stop Function: Automatically cuts off water supply and stops test once preset time or cycle count is reached.
• Stable Mechanical Structure: Adjustable foot pads for horizontal leveling; independent water-tank for water storage.

Test Principle:

• Fix the cut in-sole specimen between stationary fixture and movable fixture.
• The brass drum performs reciprocating rolling-flexing over the wet base-plate to simulate repeated bending of shoe insoles during human walking.
• Continuous water flows onto specimen surface.
• After test completion, weigh specimen to calculate water-absorbing property WA; then condition specimen for 24 hours and re weigh to obtain water-desorption property WD.
