The Fabric Bursting Tester is designed to measure the physical properties of textiles, including bursting strength and bursting expansion. Additionally, the tester can evaluate the mechanical properties of materials such as plastic films, composite films, and paper products.
The testing methodology involves clamping the sample on an extendable membrane and applying liquid or gas pressure to expand both the membrane and sample until rupture occurs. This process measures the sample's bursting strength and bursting expansion.
Two specific methods are employed: hydraulic method (increasing liquid volume to expand the diaphragm) and pneumatic method (increasing gas volume for expansion).
